Jax-based distributor expands through acquisition

Jacksonville-based business Mac Papers, one of the largest distributors of paper, packaging, facility supplies and office products in the Southeast, recently announced the acquisition of Florida Graphic Supply, a distributor specialized in wide format technology.

“Mac Papers is proud to announce this acquisition, which is an important and strategic move for us in wide format,” Sutton McGehee, president of Mac Papers, said. “Not only does the acquisition reaffirm the company’s commitment to offering our customers a broad, diversified product lineup, but it also affirms our focus on extending our capabilities in the sign and display market.”

Mac Papers announced its acquisition July 31 but declined to disclose any financial details. By acquiring FGS, the number one Roland equipment dealer in Florida, Mac Papers adds to the product offering it can distribute.

“We are very excited to be a part of the Mac Papers family and offer our customer base even more extensive resources and logistics capabilities as a result,” said John Eukovich, wide format sales manager.

Mac Papers is keeping FGS’s office in Clearwater, Florida as a new Mac Papers location. The office’s 14 employees are staying on at Mac Papers.

FGS is the latest in a long line of acquisitions by Mac Papers. The company has acquired nine companies including FGS since 2011. These acquisitions expanded the company’s footprint in Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida while also adding distribution capabilities in packaging, resale, printing, food service packaging supplies and more.
